Due to my busy schedule and the amount of submissions coming through to the site, I am not always able to feature some of your loves/likes or other things you think are feature worthy. If you see something worthy, please send me a PM.

Try to find 3 subs, new or old and I will try to feature it, if it shows effort, is not quickly produced, and the artist has potential for growth or has produced great things in the past.

Thanks

Rainlendar 2.3 released

<b>Rainlendar 2.3 has just been released.</b>

There have been many changes in this new version, mostly bugfixes. You´ll best take a look at the changes.txt file that comes with the download. I´ll only mention a few here:
- A second default skin that shows the power of Lua scripting.
- Calendar List. With this you can toggle the visibility of calendars if you use multiple of them.
- Image rotation is now antialiased.
- Scaling images down uses now bicubic resampling (i.e. the result is much better than before).
- Added native transparency support for Linux.

Rainlendar 2.3 is available here: http://www.rainlendar.net

btw: Learn the new skinning format! I did and I can assure you it´s worth it. After all this point and click skinning from the old version is far to limited for reshackers and script monkeys. ;)

Replacing the system font

Alright, some people wanted to know how I changed the font of utorrent. The trick is to change the whole system font, so there's a bit of registry editing required.

I don't know which fonts are suitable, I've tested HaxrCorp 4088 and kroeger, and there are no problems so far. But remember to make a backup of the registry settings.

Firstly, go to

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\FontSubstitutes]

and change the values of

MS Shell Dlg
MS Shell Dlg 2
Helv
Helvetica
Times
Tmns Rmn

to your desired font. Take the name as it appears in the fonts-directory, not the filename.

Then, create 3 new strings

MS Sans Serif
Microsoft Sans Serif
Tahoma

and again, change the value to your custom font.

Secondly, remove those fonts from the fonts-directory:

Microsoft Sans Serif
MS Serif
MS Sans Serif
Tahoma

Put them somewhere where you can easily bring them back.

And the last step is to go to

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts]

and to change the value of

Tahoma Bold (True Type)

to your desired font. This time, take the filename (!) instead.

After restarting you should see your custom font everywhere (even in some websites).

The font names and such may differ because I have a german version of xp.
Hope that works :)

PS: If you need to change the system font more often, you can speed things up by just writing .reg files that contain the code of various fonts. So then you got a .reg file for kroeger, one for calibri etc...
