About asuraci
Customization
When I used Windows I was very very into the customization scene. I released about 5 themes (Three of which were full suites including various program skins) and many many screenshots back in the day. When I switched over to a Mac on Christmas '06 I had originally planned on continuing skinning but for the Mac. I'm not so sure now because that scene seems to be filled with pretentious douchebags. They just pump out theme after theme (With the exception of a handful of very respectable and creative themers, such as David Lanham) that look exactly like everything that has been done before.
Once I get used to ThemePark, then yeah, I'll probably continue to skin and customize and release. Everything I release will be open-source, because I don't really care and I won't get all emotional if someone modifies my stuff and releases it without permission - it's only a theme. But I do ask that credit be given. Programming
I've been developing my programming and design skills since the 7th grade. I'm in the 10th grade now, halfway through, but I've learned a lot. Right now I know XHTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, SQL, AJAX utilization, and I'm learning Ruby[on Rails]. I programmed the entire first version of Konvulse. Its second version is currently under development by a team of people and it is progressing well. It will be completely revolutionary, much better than any other art website out there - yes, even deviantART. I do freelance web developing every once in a while but I tend to keep it non-corporate. E-Commerce is a bitch to work with. :P
One of my little side-projects is a blogging engine called Mynimalistic. It isn't quite under development but when I get time and I'm bored as hell and I want to work on it, I will. It uses AJAX (though you can't see most of it, a majority of its usage is admin-only so far), PHP, CSS, and, of course, HTML. Its intention is to be a fully functional and beautiful little blogging engine. And when I say little...I mean little. As of this posting there are only four MySQL tables, and the file structure is EXTREMELY minimal. But, hoo boy, believe me - that is no indicator to its power. If you would like to take a look, just head on over to Alex Suraci.net, where you will see nearly this exact same "About Me" dialog. ;) eAthena Programming
My current project is an invite-only, lowish-rate (50/50/30) Ragnarok Online server. This has all been a learning experience for me, because when I first began I knew absolutely nothing. I'm lucky to be partnered with a good friend of mine, who knows a lot about eAthena and Ragnarok Online in general. I've been in this scene since 2003, when I first joined his server.
I'm not going to give too many details on this server, because as of now I should be keeping it on the down-low. I'm failing, but I'm not going to make it worse by giving away all of the details. :P Trust me, this server will be insane when it's launched. I have done over 2,500 lines of code for it so far, and that will be growing as we come up with more and more unique ideas.
